This is not a breed. It is a cross breed .£500 for any cross breed is a rip off.Put labradoodle into 'search' atthe top of the page and read the past posts on this subject.

As Archer says, Labradoodle's are not a breed but a cross between a Labrador and a Poodle. As such you would have no idea what the final dog would look like. Whether it would take after the poodle or the Labrador would be purely a matter of chance. Almost all breeders I have seen are breeding first crosses which means that they never will produce "Type", just a random selection of crosses. They are also selling them at vastly inflated prices which to me puts them on a par with puppy farmers just out to make money out of a fad.
I would suggest you decide which breed you would prefer, Poodle or Labrador, and stick with that. Failing that, try a visit to a rescue and select the dog of your dreams from there.

i wouldnt even mention the word labradoodle on here,as theres a huge bias against them, but i love them!!!if you click on my name you can email me,we have an exellent breeder of lab & goldendoodles near to me,but she does always have a huge waiting list. i am in west somerset,
they are expensive,(which is why lots of bad breeders have jumped on the bandwagon,)so you would be looking at at least £500 i would think.
personally,i think thats way too much for a x,but if people want one enough .........

Michelle, I dont think guests can see your email address I think its only members :)

oh thanks!,well she will need to join then!!!

If you like Labradoodles you may like curly coated retrievers!
They have the same type of coat, kinda!

Depending upon what you like about a Labradoodle there's also the Spanish Water Dog, the Lagotto, Irish Water Spaniel and more, that would cost about the same and are a breed. I know that my breed is for sale at around the £600.00 mark. The Lagotto and SWD are fairly similar in certain looks as the Labradoodle dependant on which type you like.

Surely deerdog you can't guarantee what kind of coat a labradoodle will have, being a cross breed?

Looking at some of the sites featuring this cross on the net there is no telling what the dog will look like. I know someone on here once tried to convince us that it was that which was their attraction!!!!

Always wondered if the type of dog from this cross depends on whether the male is the lab or the female? Does anybody know?

Would make no difference at all which was the sire / dam Amos. :)
