When should she have them? I cant take her temp as havent got a thermometer. Hope someone can help me asap.

Why didn't you think of all that before you planned on breeding her? If this was a planned breeding. If not then why didn't you keep her away from intact males and keep her indoors? :(

20 months I would think is still pretty young for a dog of that breed to be having pups, not sure but Iam sure someone will correct me on that  She may not even be mature enough to deal with a litter at that age.

Some bitches tend to go off their food and start nesting. Some get very clingy and some don't. My bitch got the runs and went off her food and was very clingy when she started to get close, but every bitch is different. Do you have her whelping area/bed ready? If not then get started on that. Make sure you have the vets number on hand just incase, and also notify them now so they are expecting you incase something goes wrong. She could even go as late at day 63 I think even day 65. Has she started pushing yet? get the Book of the Bitch or The Complete Book of Dog Breeding Now!!! These will come in very handy.

We really cannot tell you when she will have them.... Do a search on here you will get loads of information :) Good luck

My Bullmastiff girl went 5 days over, she had to be induced with oxytocin, i would really keep an eye on her now, as sometime Bullmastiffs can be slow whelpers, and sometimes have difficulties, my girl gave birth to one puppy, the rest of the litter were delivered by c-section, sounds like your girl is close, so keep a close eye on her.  If in doubt call your vet.  Bullmastiffs are not an easy breed to whelp sometimes, i dont know about german shepards, but its a shame you bred this cross breed, as it could be a gamble on how things could go.

Im not sure, but I dont think that this was a planned pregnacy, IMO anyway.

It happens. Best thing to do is as suggested, read up on everything you can find ASAP. Or ask your vet. Best to ring vet anyway. :)

Just to let you all know that my bitch finished having her babies she had 9 puppies all together now she is feeding them. But she doesnt want to go out to go to the toilet is this normal??
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 12.09.04 12:41 UTC
Yes it's normal. You will probably have to put her on a lead a physically force her outside several times a day for a few days. This is when you can check the puppies over, change the bedding etc. It is vital for her health that she goes out to relieve herself. As soon as she has 'performed' let her off the lead to run back to her family.

Posters with litters aren't allowed to say what breed/cross they are - as this can be considered advertising the litter ;)
