i am trying to decide which breed to mate my shih tzui bitch to, a poodle or a lhasa apso, which do you think would be the best choice for the puppies to sell well? I cant get a shih tzui dog as there are none where I live and I dont drive. which breed would have the best puppies? has anyone else bred these cross?

You should not be contemplating breeding cross breeds deliberately, there are plenty needding loving homes in rescue centres up and down the country.  There is rarely any justification for cross breeding other than in specific cases where the results are predicatable and for a particular purpose, not just to sell cuite pups.  I have in mind here certain proven working dogs such as Guide dogs for the Blind and to some extent types of Terrier and Sight hounds.

Breeding carries serious responsibilities to the puppies produced and their new owners.  It is hard enough to produce typical sound pups with the desired characterisitics abd health in a chosen breed let alone the uncertainties that would go with a cross where temperament, coat, health size etc would be impossible to predict.

Also any cosss is likely to cost you far more to rear than you could expect to ask for someone to pay.

Presuming this is not a wind up (which I am inclined to think it is) and also ignoring the issue of the breed of stud dog, if you have not got transport available to get you to a suitable dog what on earth will you do if you do mate your bitch, she gets pregnant, and then whelping complications occur?  How do you get her to a vet for an emergency C section, oxytocin jab, etc?  For heavens sake, one of the prime requirments for breeding is transport!  |Dont even consider putting a bitches life at risk if you dont have a method of getting her to a vets as soon as problems arise.
