Does it matter to much if our 9 week old GSP puppy eats a bit of grass, cos when I take him out sometimes he has a nibble! Please reply. From Phoebe

A lot of dogs eat a little bit of grass and it won't do him any harm :)

Generally a dog will eat what it needs (this rules doesn't always apply to puppies though) and eating grass is generally thought to be self medicating and not a problem, however if your GSP starts to look more like a cow than a dog, it might be worth getting him checked over by the vet to ensure there isn't a problem ;)
Yeah our wheaten eats grass sometimes to make herself sick and we let her do if we think she has been a bit 'off colour' so to speak. And so far, touch wood, she has been fine afterwards. But she eats grass when she fancies a bit :) As digger said keep an eye on you puppy for any changes.

All my dogs eat grass, and quite often.
To be honest I don't think I know a dog that doesn't.

max my 4 month old lab pup is doing a wonderful job of pulling out all the tufts of grass growing inbetween the patio slabs!!!!
Hi Katyb can i swap Solo my eleven week old boxer for your Max, Solo likes pulling tuffs out of my lawn, and i would much rather have Max pulling tuffs from inbetween my patio flags than holes in my lawn. lol
