My friend has a 10yr old patterdale and has been taking him to the same vets for years this vet has not been cheep at the best of times but always seem to be very well known. But for the last 21/2 years the dog was showing signs of stratching and biting into himself. so like you do he took the dog to the vets where they did test weeks later after taking the dog to cambridge and many more places for skin and blood test the results came back clear. Few months back the same thing happened again after being told once again this was cancer. The owner is now changing the vets but would like to put in a complaint as many other in the park know of this vet and also said that the same thing happened to them or somone they know of. This so far has cost my friend £3,500 to be told that it was stress related and not cancer. My question is to put in a complaint about this vet how could he go about it who does he contact. please help him vets must not get away with this.

Hiya guest.
My sympathy goes out to your friend, unfortunately there are alot of vets out there, that do not know what they're doing.
To complain, go to the http://www.rcvs.org.uk/ website. I think you can download a complaints form online.
But do not hold your breath, they all stick together i'm afraid.
Good luck anyway.
