The correct colours are Black, Brown & Landseer which is black & white There are very occasionally Brown & whites born but they are very few & far between. one of my friends used to breed them & only ever had the three normal colours

Hi Guest

Good luck in your search they are a wonderfull breed, I have a black newfie at the moment and we are looking for a brown to add to the family in the future so the search is on too. Moonmaiden is right about the colours being black, brown and landseer in this country and one of the best books for pictures was an American one that I just picked up in a pet shop and they also have grey newfies there (there has been a litter born recently with some greys in in the UK aswell). I would recommend a book called Newfoundlands Today by Hed and Del Richards, it was quite hard to get hold of but it is worth it as it gives you info on health, training, grooming ect.

They also have black and tan in the states too.
There have been quite a few greys born in the uk in recent years as we have a lot of USA lines hare now and of course the colour is allowed over there.
Here though Black Brown or White and black are allowed in the standard.  Though you can get white and brown too (not allowed)
