The pedigree is only part of choosing the best stud dog for your bitch!  When buying a puppy you have no guarantee that it will grow suitable for her at all. 
IMO you would be much better to choose an experienced stud dog, with a compatible pedigree but who also compliments your bitch's virtues and faults in temperament and conformation, with a good hip score and any other relevant health tests for your breed, who is proven to produce quality pups.  You would also then have the support of an experienced stud dog owner.
