Hi everyone,

Would you consider homing a dog (Papillon) to someone who has got two, possible three Wheaten Terriers?

I've got cavaliers & I kinow a few GSD people who have a cavalier or too as well

Most of the wheatens I know are quite lively & friendly dogs so a breed like a cavalier would be ok with them. Paps are(well should be)a daintier dog than a Cavalier but quite feisty(my friend used to call hers "mini pit bulls" when they were in their crates, but they were friendly outside.the crate.

I would think i depends on what the wheatons were like & if the pap was a puppy or an adult. A puppy shopuld be ok don't know about an adult

Our wheaten is 7 years old and might be eight before i get a pap, she is very calm and docile and has lived with a yorkie before. The papillon will be a puppy.

I've just my dogs to bed The very large GSD bitch was covered in cavaliers :D Needless to say my BC boy was fast asleep in his crate(door open)snoring, GSD is now curled up with two cavaliers the other two have gone into their cratesa with the doors open

Some people don't believe that the GSD is so gentle & tolerant of the cavaliers when she plays so rough with bigger dogs, she still vocal with the cavaliers tho' & she's taught the Cavaliers to be vocal as well.

Be prepared to have a Pap that thinks it's a Wheaten & a wheaten that decides to be soppy with every little dog she sees;)

Our wheaten soppy enough!!! :D I'm sure she and the pap will get on fine. I have found about ten breeders who will be having Papillon in 6 months, a years time and at various other points during next year, and only one of them was worried my wheaten saying that because she is a terrier she might chase it!!! But she is not breeding anymore so there should be a problem. Anyway thanks for all your help. :)

I've had Rough Collies with my Pomeranian's years ago and they got on fine.  Now I have Spanish Water Dogs and my mum still has her Pom's and they are great together.  Have to watch the young Spanish at times because they can get excited and want to play but to be truthful we've never had any problems.  The Pom's do rule our bigger dogs though :d

I'm so pleased! I was really worried that some of the breeders would say no!! :) But i will show that if they really know how tough small dogs are (which im sure they do) then there should be no problem. Thanks guys!! :)
