My husband and i are thinking of getting two welsh terrier puppies in the near future. Please could you advise on whether having two together would get on and some idea of the cost of the puppies.

Please e mail us at NeilJackie@aol.com

Thankyou

Hi - two puppies at the same time is generally a complete nightmare, especially if you are not used to multiple dogs in a household. Not only do you have to train each one separately as well as together (three times the work of one puppy) they are very likely to bond with each other (their own species) rather than you (an alien in their eyes) so will be even more difficult. The saying "Two's company, three's a crowd" is very true in this instance - the two pups will be the company, and you will be the crowd!

Your best bet is to get one puppy, train it to the standard that is acceptable to you - completely housetrained, walking well on a lead, coming when its called etc) - and then get another one, with which to repeat the process.
