Does anyone use one to walk two dogs - I am just looking for advantages and disavantages please :)

Nightmare!  Silly string is the word that comes to mind!  Mine normally walk quite well on a lead but with one of these it all goes awry.

Good luck!

I tried one, a link lead. It was a short piece of webbing with a bulldog clip on each end to clip on the dogs collars and a ring in the middle to connect a lead to. I gave it a fair trial to get both myself and the dogs used to it but finished up be throwing it in the rubbish bin! Two leads is far easier!

Best wishes, John

Don't care for them myself, if one dog pulls, other gets dragged!  Not very fair!

On the other hand I have a friend who worships them!  I would say invest in a cheep one and see how YOU and YOUR dogs cope with it!

We bought ours for the Dogue de Bordeaux and  at first a was a bit of a caffuffle, but once they had settled to it they were fine  I bought our through American Ebay also the matching leaders, they are good quality leather, it is worth takeing a look on there as we have had our a year with no problems and delivery was quick, now we have 2, they are called spliter leashe's on there

I find it easier to walk two dogs on one lead that has a clip at each end.

As long as both dogs are lead trained I dont see a problem, my friend walks her two cockers on a couple and they just drag each other everywhere and also combine their strength in pulling you over

Tried it but didn`t find it any good, much prefer individual leads. Done a lot of showing in the brace class & aslo a lot of winning as well :D with my 2 dogs on seperate leads. Found I had more control with looping the leads thru my fingers & contact/pressure on & with each lead.

I walk six dogs at a time, four of them are on single leads and two on a double trace. The reason for this is that the two on the double trace also used to be on two separate leads but were forever changing position with each other which led to plaiting of the leads.

The double trace overcomes this problem and means that I don't have to regulary stop and un-plait the leads. The type that I use is made from nylon webbing with a ring in the middle for the lead to clip onto and a trigger clasp each end to clip onto the collars.

I find this useful for these particular dogs but the others don't need one.
