What breed is she? How old is she? Has she been speyed? How long have you had her? Any chance of letting your guests greet her in the garden (on lead in front garden unless it's VERY secure ;))

hi
She is a King Charles cross ,she is nearly 1 year old ,she has been speyed about 3 weeks now ,and we have had her from a pup . And its a bit hard asking your guest to kindly go thru to the garden stand with there legs apart so they wont get wet lol .it happens when she jumps up for fuss when she is standing on 2 legs its a whaheyyyyyyyy and theres a water leakage .

Can you keep her on leash
(you holding other end of course) when people come so she cannot jump and maybe try putting her in a sit with plenty of praise/treat. Also have your company ignore her until she has calmed down.

I'd agree with encouraging her to sit, this will mean at least you have more control over the area likely to get wet ;) But I think putting her on a lead to enforce this could make the problem worse, as she won't be able to adopt the body language she needs to. Is there anywhere in the garden like a wall or a seat she could get on to greet visitors, she obviously wants to be closer to people (this is natural dog behaviour - to greet the returning pack they will lick at their faces - she's trying to do this)

Has this problem always existed? Or it is just since her spey?

Try these sites for some good information.
I would suggest that when someone new comes into your home ask them to completely ignore your your dog. After she settles they can pat her, but never make a fuss.
