just got a new puppy a week past on saturday, she is nearly toilet trained, dont get me wrong sometimes she has the odd accident but most times she does it outside.  she is now sitting at the door till she gets out to do the toilet.  she can sit wherever we ask her to and is beginning to understand stay command.  dont want to give her too much to begin with but where do you suggest i go from here.  she gets her final jag next week afterwhich she is able to go out to the big world.  at the moment she is getting to run around the garden which has a brick wall round it and no other dogs.  she loves it!

I would also make sure that your pup meets other dogs very soon (if it hasn't already) and keep that up on a regular basis, as these first few weeks of puppy ownership are crucial to socialising. Maybe arrange pup classes, take the pup to meet dogs belonging to friends, etc. :)

Socialisation is crucial for training as the first thing you want is a dog who is at ease with other dogs and people.
