I'm off to Stoneleigh tomorrow and am supposed to be in the Blackdown building.  Would anyone know if I would be right in assuming that we would be inside regardless of the weather?   I've only ever been there for a breed show but know it's a huge place.

Any other CD's going?

thanks - sarah

If the Blackdown buildings are the ones at the front of the Showground on the map, they are like big cattle sheds with concrete floors....if you are in the further back buildings, last year the floor surface was very slippy :-(

Thanks - that sounds like the usual sort of place they put the beagles

I'll have to remember to wear my rubber - slip-proof shoes.

has  anyone been to this show on friday ??????   hounds and toys i think, --have they made the  improvements  they  promised us after last year??? our ring was tiny and like a skating rink, any dog used to moving out really couldnt it was so bad,  ??????    fingers crossed. i think it was "C"  we where in, but not sure.

We were in the cattle sheds, and my youngster whose birthday it was decided she didn't want to show as she was fasciated by the holes in the floor that I assume are for erecting cattle pens, and the pitted concrete was just too fascinating to be able to move around the ring, or stand properly for the judge, that is until she was placed, and then she stood and showed her heart out :D

Her Mum did wel getting best bitch, but oh she is still such hard work!!!  I think the crititique she haed from one judge this year sums it up 'showing her indepoendance most forcibly' :D :D  I thought she would mellow with age :D

someone please tell us what the floors like     ?
- By het [gb] Date 04.09.04 15:59 UTC
Half the rings have been moved out of the hall and are now under cover in the bit between the buildings, those which are still in the hall were bigger than last year and had been carpeted, with what looked like the same stuff used at crufts

Floor in the hall are carpeted but unfortunately they have carpeted over the drains and if you walk over them they still rattle.  Bit off putting for youngsters.

How's the kids hair Linda????  Guess who told me?????

Floors in the Blackdown buildings are concrete but small.  Clean toilets in the main building and how nice to see a proper coffee stand, expresso, mocha etc instead of the usual rubbish cheap instant stuff usually sold at shows.

I shall go again if only for the coffee :)
