I had hoped that this site would help provide me with an answer to my problem of finding someone to clip my 18mth std poodle. We used to go to a lady in Derby but she has had a bad back & only seems to want small breeds now. I have an appointment booked for end Nov. with someone else but you know how much  hair a poodle can sprout in 3 months!!!

I used to clip our old poodle but I find "black" very difficult & I lack confidence with a youngster. I can & have clipped him but he is a beautiful boy & I am not doing him justice. I would appreciate help even if its just a one off 'til we manage to try out our new lady.

I have the same problem I have a GWP he needs handstripping I cant do it would gladly pay someone but noone round here does them
I would ask your breeder or look in yellow pages .
Trouble is with any skill recomendation is best. have you any show catalogues that you can ring a breeder and ask who they would recommend sorry if this isnt much help

Where Fiona when you need her?  She may know of someone....most likly well being in stds herself and doing alot of grooming.....

my sister has 2 black poodles i know she used to take the girls to some ones house to have them cut. we are in long eaton and im sure the lady was in sawley some where.i will see her today and ask her for the details.the lady who does them has owned poodles all her life and knows whats shes doing also my in laws has westies she has a mobile one but i don't know who they are i will try and find out.
if your near derby you aren't far from us or her we are near west park.
