Does anyone know if you can take a dog in, that is not for showing
My two are entered, but my sister and family might come along for the day, but asked me if she could bring the dog.
I know at normal open and champ shows you can't, but I'm not sure about Agricultural shows.
Hope someone can help, she won't come if she can't bring the dog, as she doesn't want to leave him too long on his own.

Is anyone else going on the Sunday.

When I was last at a dog show at an agricultural show, it was an Open Show within the rest of the show. Only entered dogs could go in the dog-show part, but all others were allowed in the rest of the show. The best thing would be to phone the show secretary.
:)
Hi Michelle,
As far as I know you can take any dog, entered or not. We were meant to be going on Saturday but something has come up but we only had one entered, were just gonna take the other along for the day. Usually at ag. shows they aren't bothered about unentered dogs as it is more casual than just an open or champ show.
Good luck for Sunday, I'm quite gutted really as this will be the first show I have entered but not been able to go to. Are you doing Stanhope?

Hi, wolsingham is a good old fashioned country show, and you can take dogs anywhere! Stanhope is the same. Both have the dog show integrated into the main events, sor tof, just a little off to one side.

Hi Gwen,
I've been told it's a good show to take the kids to.
Do you no if it's like Durham show, with a funfair, bouncy castles etc.

Its much more rural than Durham is now, but it has lots to do, last year there were mini motorbike things. and I think a bouncy castle. However, Durham this year looked like it had a whole funfair!

We showed there last year and I remember someone sitting next to us with a white boxer (can't show a white) - so you must be able to bring "not for show" dogs.
Good Luck!
