No, with some of my bitches pregnancies I have felt no movement at all, particularly if only one or two puppies are expected.  I wouldn't worry about it.

When my Staffy bitch only had one pup, I felt no movement untill about 2 days before she gave birth.
When she had her first litter (6 pups) I felt movement about a week before.
So I wouldn't worry.

Maybe it is because my bitches are deep bodied and pretty fit, but I have never felt movement, even with a litter of 9 though have seen the odd ripple when they were sleeping.

I saw the odd movement when my bitch had only a few days left, like little pertrudence when she was sleeping and she was having eight pups
I must say i sat on the floor for the last week just watching for movement when she was sleeping.but the more i watched the less i seemed to see

I use to lay my hands on my boston's tummy when she was laying down and I could feel them moving and also see them, that was a lil before a week due. I thought it was neat, maybe because they are a smaller breed I could see and feel them better :)

I felt movement last night ( i think) she was lying on her side beside me on the sofa and i just sat there for about 10 minutes with my hand on her stomach neared to her back legs than the front. Hubby thought I was mad but I was so excited.Just thought I;d let you all know.
