Any experts in metals or minerals out there. Over the last few months I have removed any number of what looks like pieces of molten metal from my puppies mouth. But the thing is it is very heavy and up to today I had not considered it any further but today I started to wonder what it was and checked it with a magnet and it is nonferrous. So a heavy metal that looks as if it has been melted and is nonferrous, found in the ground around my home that was built about 40 years ago on farmland that is within 8 miles of the Wash and is part of the fens. It is not as heavy as lead but heavy and looks like clinker and there appears to be other material within it. I am puzzled any ideas?

Daisy, it is black or dark grey with specks of something white of cream in it. Did wonder if it may be meteorite but that seems a bit unlikely. If it were not for the weight I would have thought it coke clinker. Thanks for the link, I am always keen to learn new things, so I will make the time.

Can't find the tin opener Harry :D but come to think of it I have lost a feeding bowl as well lately but that is SS so wrong colour ;)
