i was just wondering if dalmations pass on their spots when xd with other breeds?
ive never seen any "spotty" xbreeds,so id guess that they dont?

The good spotting is the first thing to go! Dalmatian cross pups can be very flecky, but never good clear spotting on any white areas they may have.

it was just that  i saw a pic that was either a very very underweight dal,or a dal/whippet or greyhound x.
sadly then it must have been a terribly underweight Dally

Or a badly-bred one perhaps. All the dal crosses I've seen have been instantly recognisable as having 'alien' blood! But dals are meant to be elegant and have quite a good tucked-up tummy.

maybe! ive never seen one looking "that" athletic before! it did have very even spots though of good size.

i find colour genetics quite interesting,in obedience there are quite a few BC x GSDs almost all with the gsd colouring, infact ive only ever seen 1 bc x gsd with the typical collie colouring

Genetics is a fascinating topic - one that, the more you learn, the more you realise there is to be learned!

true,my flynn,is meant to be black & white,
black tri mum but GOLD (not red) & white dad
his dad is quite old & sired alot of litters in his time, this was his last & all classically marked B&W ,no tris!!
it was the first litter not to have at least one gold & white puppy in though! odd.
flynn though is abit of a odd colour, his pigment isnt very dark & he looks like a dirty copper coin in the sun
