well you must have read it on fcr yarhoo,
yes she was sliver but she has turn black now,my blue bum was silver and that has turn black with the new coat now,the silver is very corse   coat like at brio pad,but when blue was born she was black all over untill 4 week when this silver came through but the puppy you are talking about was born silver,
it a very good friend of mine who breed her and very good friend who had the stud dog,but the colour not the most important thing its the temperment and this little pup has a very good one.and very pretty.

but do you know that you can get yellow fcr.????

Hi - yes she's by our dog (black carrying liver) out of a liver bitch.    She is indeed very pretty, and not unique - when you talk about it (I certainly hadn't heard of one before) there have actually been a few born like this over the years.     Apparently they all turn a boring old black by about 6 - 10 months old, but you can just enjoy the colour while it lasts!

We want to have a Vetgen colour test done on her and her parents in time - be interesting.

One proviso to this bit of excitement - thank goodness that these are highly unlikely to be trendy colour, as it doesn't last!

I don't know of any other breeds where this happens - does anybody else?   Our Kerry Blues were the opposite - they were born black and turned silver/blue with maturity.

I have seen silver flatcoats before, they are pretty and in every case turn black eventually. This thankfully is not a colour which can become a fashion craze as happens in other breeds, encouraging people to breed for that particularly fashionable colour. I see that there is to be a picture on the yahoo site of this puppy, hope to see it soon Jo. :-)
