Over the last two weeks she has got really fat. She is usually quite thin and her nipples have gotten really swollen I have an appointment to see the vet on Monday but I am worried about her what else could it be if shes not pregnant. She is also panting alot is this common in pregnant dogs??  Any help would be great. thanks Asheley.

If your bitch has been mated then there is a strong chance she will be pregnant - you don't mention whether this occured or not.

If she has not been mated then no, there is no chance she will be mated.  I gather you are not in the UK if you are seeing your vet on Monday but your vet is the best person to consult regarding the health of your dog.

Bitches do tend to pant when they are in labour, very hot or have various other health problems.

If she has been mated she may be preganant but it could also be a good many other things, if she is drinking a lot of water then I would not wait till Monday but ask to see a vet today.
