Topic Other Boards / Foo / E-bay selling help!

I have advertised an item on e-bay, first time for selling :-)  my item has sold and the person has paid through paypal with a creditcard, which I understand I will have fees for. The money is now showing in my Paypal account.  How does the money then transfer from my paypal account into my bank account? I've tried e=mailing but haven't had any reply yet.

Thanks

There is a link on your paypal account that you have to click in order to get the funds transferred to your bankl account if I remember (Its a while since I used paypal)

Just to slightly resurrect an old topic .....

I've had a dispute with a seller on e-bay, and they are providing a refund back to my Paypal account.  Once it arrives there, is it effectively cleared funds - i.e. can I then dispatch goods straight back to seller, or should I wait until money is in my bank account?

i never take my money out of paypal, i just use it to buy other things on ebay.

If you check your paypal account it will normally show the money going into your account, then a 'complete' transaction once the funds have been cleared, once this has been done you can then transfer it back to your account.  I've not had a problem so far :-)

OK, asked the wrong question apparently, have now had a message saying he's sent the funds, but unless I upgrade my account I can't accept credit card payments.

Is this JUST for credit cards, i.e. if he pays with a debit card will it be an issue?  Otherwise, I'll ask him to send me a cheque, and return the goods when it's cleared.

Thanks,
Marina

As far as I know it's just for credit card payments.  I had to upgrade my account too, so I could accept payment on an item I sold.  Once I did this it, I transferred the money back into my bank, it then took 5 working days to reach my bank account,

Do's anyone else add a percentage to buyers when they pay by paypal to cover there costs, we thought 5% do's that seem fair

Surcharging buyers for using Paypal isn't allowed by Ebay - they did a policy change on this a few months ago. Here's the page which gives you the details.
