Hi

We have a choc lab bitch who unfortunately has been diagnosed as an "allergy dog" - in the summer she gets very hot and itchy and can, if not treated, chew all the hair from her paws;  she also loses it from around her eyes and nose!  This year we haven't had a holiday because we wanted to try to get it under control but we're hoping to go away next year.  The thing is I want to make sure she is in a really good boarding kennel with not too many dogs so that the people can keep a close eye on her and help her if she gets really itchy.  Last year when we came back from hols, she was totally bald on all her feet, they were red and bleeding where she had chewed them so much and we dont want her to go thro that again.

Any recommendations for kennels in the South West would be great - we live near Bristol - but we're happy to travel - would be great as I'm having difficulty in finding somewhere.

Thanks - my email is lin@3sharp.freeserve.co.uk

You may be better of employing a dogsitter, my pup went to a recommended sitter for £15 a day, not hugely different in cost to a kennels and I know he got loads more attention

Good luck
