Tia is doing her bronze and Bailey will be doing his silver tonight. Tia is fine on recall with 'Tia come' but Bailey is relliant on a whistle. Will I be allowed to call his name and use whistle. Stupidly I never thought to ask. He will come when called but not immediately, with the whistle it is immediate.
Also is there anything else I need to take with me, Poo bags, toy and a sausage for distraction, grooming brush, whistle, and dogs. Thanks
Kay

You will be allowed to use a whistle, obviously you will need the normal, collar with correct ID tag that is YOUR name and address as required by law, lead, pooh bags, toy, and grooming kit, car or access to one. You will not be allowed to use food during the test but it can be used in between as long as it is not to excess.
Good Luck.

Thanks Tohme. Glad to hear I can use whistle, Bailey's recall is excellent, but his response to my voice is only about 95%, with the whistle he has only ever faltered once, tonight will probably make it twice :) . New ID tags arrived yesterday, just in time. I dont train with food or titbits, just loads of praise, the sausage is for Bailey for a walk past and ignore....homemade with bullhearts, flour and eggs, without the garlic so hopefully not too enticing. Normally I would not be too worried, but as I am handling both pups at the same time for different test, it really will be a fair old test on them. Normally I have trained them seperately, Bailey for gunwork, Tia basic good manners and obedience, but for the last two weeks have had to train them side by side at different levels. All well and good on their own but have not had any distractions. My daughter is taking the lead for Tia, but all commands will come from me.
