Hi,
Our 14 1/2 week old pup has taken to swallowing the wings whole, not even pausing to chew on them - he's also started to pass fragments of bone (about 1 - 1.5 inches long) so it seems that his digestive tract isnt able to break the bones down easily. I think he is still a little young for carcasses - though if I am wrong please tell me. Our other dog is fed on a part raw diet (she gets naturediet alongside her raw food, though not in the same meal) Our pup also gets some naturediet (I am slighlty concerned that I may not have his BARF exactly right and do not want him to suffer as a result so I feed him part raw, part naturediet, so that if he isn't getting the required nutrients from the raw, then he will get them from the naturediet - please can you also tell me if I shouldn't be doing this.
Thanks

You really should equip yourself with some appropriate literature in order that you know how and where to get the necessary nutrients into your dog. Natural Nutrition for cats and dogs by Kmythy Schulze is a very simple book which gives you all you need to know. Also I would recommend you join the Britbarf yahoo site.
14 1/2 weeks is not too young to start on carcases (depending on her size of course) or anything else.
Dogs do not chew.
If you are concerned bash them a few times with a suitable implement, like a hammer :D
You could add Apple Cider Vineger to the wings say a tbsp full.
Many people choose to feed part raw part commercial for various reasons; if you do I would recommend you feed at different times of the day ie separately; it takes longer for a dog to digest cooked food than raw.
