Going away next friday for 2 weeks can't wait then I think of leaving bailey behind and feel bad. He is staying with my in-laws who also have a westie and will have a great time but I am really dreading saying good bye know it sounds really silly but keep thinking he will ignore me when I get back. Got a nice photo to take with me. Hope he is ok getting all the clothes out to be packed and he lies on top of them need to check the case he might try to sneak in.

Hi
I'm sure Bailey will be fine, and we all need a break sometimes, so don't feel bad - life's too short for that. At least it will make the end of your holiday easier to bear knowing you're coming back to him :). Just hope you don't come across many dogs on holiday, though. We had a 3 day trip to New York, and as we were staying right by Central Park, it seemed as if everyone there had a dog except us, so we ended up missing Sparky even more! Have a great holiday.

I always tell myself ..........my dogs have a great life for 50 weeks of the year, I am sure they won't mind roughing it for a couple of weeks so we can have a well deserved holiday.

For the last 6 yrs we have taken our dogs on holiday with us but are fed up with the crappy weather in this country so we are off to Greece next year. Our inlaws will take very good care of our boys and am sure will enjoy their holiday as much as we will ours. Don't worry about him just enjoy yourselves! :-)
