Hi all
just back from Bolton town open show.Was bigger than ever this year with well over 650 dogs entered over the 2 days.
My daughter won the 6-11 yrs Junior handling and then went on to win best JH overall.
She then took best puppy AND best of breed with my 6 month old pup ...going on to get short listed in the group and win puppy group 2.

Thanks Karen...already feeling pretty redundant! Got into showing for me ...as a hobby...and after only 3 years I'm being ousted!

Just checked the catalogue....hound group and elkhound judge was Mrs L.Powell(hayapark) and JH judge wasMarcus Asqiuth.
The JH was a richmond Qualifier.
Also underestimated the size of the show.......851 dogs entered making 1297 entries!

Don't know the judges but I would make a note ;) that is good for the young one to get a qualifier, will you be able to go do you think? Not a bad entry for an open show bet it was hot thought.

Don't know if we'll be going to Richmond.We'll have to wait and see.
Its a nice show...well organised.Its always one of the best supported shows round here...probably cos its a group show which there not many of in this area.
Weather was warm but we managed to stay in the shade most of the time.
