Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / DISCHARGE BEFORE DOGS SEASON

HI,
Not posted for a while but looking for a little advice, my bitch will be coming into season shortly and i noticed this morning she was a bit red down below with a little mucus discharge, i know the redness is ok but not sure about the discharge, there is no smell and she is healthy and lively enough, i have never noticed this in any of my other girls, she has recently had a checkup at the vet last week and everythinh was fine, does anyone else see this in there girls before a season, any advice would be great,

thanks

She may have a low grade vaginal infection and it may well not matter unless she is to be mated but I think I would want my vet to take a swab and check, infection can spread into the womb whilst the bitch is in season and on the rare occasion lead to pyro.
