right i  dont actually know what to right to explain this but here goes

my dog woke me up this morning with crying and nudging me  which i thought he obviously wanted the toilet,  he wakes me often with nudging me - but never the crying  so i though he must be desperate   this was about 6.45ish

as soon as i put him out side he went quiet.

about  10 o clock he was lying on his bed and he just started whimpering like he was in pain   .   hes not done it since.  ive checked him over no lumps bite or any thing - hes fine hes active running round eating and going to the loo fine -

what would you do would you take him to the vet or would you keep a close eye on himif he does it again.  then take him...

Is he still showing signs of adominal pain, arching his back or holding one leg up?

no nothing
he hasnt done it since im realy confused by it

hes  still happy  cuddling running  playing and all legs r fine no limping no swelling

he started again about  haf an hour  an ago   think its his paw   he was cried and kept giving me his paw and wouldnt put any weight on his paw

going to vets tommorow

checked it over and theres still no swelling and no cuts or splinters. shoulld i try to keep the weight of his foot  hes still running round and being active playing bring his teddy

Sorry lost this thread somehow, think you are right to take him to the vet, if he is crying he is in pain, dogs do not make a fuss for effect so something is bothering him. Hope it is nothing more than a thorn.
