I have just discovered that I can now shop online at Asda & get it all delivered :D
Have spent 15 mins or thereabouts (lunchtime) doing my weekly shopping - it will be delivered tomorrow between 10 & 12 (hopefully;) ).
Okay - so I can't get our discount on it (OH works there so we get 10% discount in store) and I'm having to pay £4.25 delivery BUT - the only handling I'll have to do is to put it all away :D
Plus I haven't spent hours going round & queueing - AND I'll only have the things that I do actually need!
I'll let you have my opinions later.

We tried shopping on-line. It was great for some occasions - ie coming home from holiday - had it delivered when we got back, no mad rush to the shops. If we have a very busy week, it's nice not to drag round the shop. The down side is that we enjoy buying from the deli counter and some things you just can't order on-line (Sainsbury's). Also, we are real cheap skates :D and buy a lot of reduced stuff and freeze a lot of it. Hubby bought a lot of beef/steak this week - eg 70p for a small beef joint - it did the dogs for two meals. The dogs have rump steak in the freezer at similar prices :D You note that we feed it to the dogs NOT us - are we mad :D

Yes - that is the downside (havent ordered meat or veg because I prefer to choose myself) and of course, we won't get any "whoopsies" - but as I'll pick OH up on Sunday afernoon when he finishes, I can always go down then & pick up last minute bits & pieces.
Like you, we also buy bits for the dogs - "whoopsied" ends of deli meat make wonderful bait treats!!!

Edited: Of course, if I had "trained" OH at an early-enough age HE could be doing it all - but now I think I know what the trolley would contain ..... beer, wine, lager, coffee, cheese, onions & bread - this is a man who would live on cheese & onion sandwiches!!!

I LOVE online shopping, and if you spend over £60 with Sainsbury's you can get it delivered free mid-week at the moment.
Prefer to pick meat/veg myself, but do a shop once a month and make some other poor sucker deliver cat/dog food, tins, drinks, washing powder, loo roll, frozen stuff etc. - all the heavy bulky stuff. ;)

I shall have to have a look at the Asda website I have used tesco to shop online and always found it to be ok but have to admit I personally prefer Asda, and plus if I shop online I'm not tempted by clothes etc.
