I have been recommended a complete food for my dogs from Redcastles in Dundee, which is their own make Premium Chicken & Rice.  Can anyone tell me if they have heard of this and whether they think it is a good food?  The ingredients are: Chicken meal, whole grain rice, whole grain corn, whole grain barley, beet pulp, chicken fat, whole linseed, fish meal, yeast, minerals.

I'm looking for a complete food to put a bit of weight onto my dogs.  They are not thin, but slim and although they eat a lot, they also have a lot of exercise and burn it straight off.  I can't cut down on their exercise either because of their energy levels.  Any recommendations would be great.

Not sure why it has 3 cereals in it.
Sugar Beet Pulp is a filler.
Whole linseed may give your dog the itchies
Yeast - hmm, why would I want to feed fungus to my dog................?

If you want to put weight on you should be looking for a calorifically dense food so cereals do not spring to mind eg lamb, pork and add oil to the diet such FIsh Body Oils, Evening Primrose Oil along with Vitamin E; Royal Jelly is also a good conditioner.
