Chester is 13 weeks old, and I am constantly removing things from his mouth when he is the garden, stones, snails and stuff, in the last 24 hours he has started coughing and trying to vomit, he produces nothing, and settles for a while, when he is quiet or asleep he is fine, but when he starts to move around it seems to set it off again. I wonder if he has swallowed something that he should not have, and it is stuck. He had some treatment at the vets on Tuesday, including, his second vaccination,a flea treatment, and is having some drops for ear mites at present. Could the drops be going down his throat and making him do this? Everything else seems to be normal, he is eating and drinking, playing, no problem breathing. Am I panicking, like new mums do, If it persists this afternoon, I think I may, take him to the vets, can anyone ofer any advice please.
Many thanks.

I would take him to the vets just to be sure, you will feel better even if the pup doesn't. Jackie H

I am taking him to the vets, he has not improved at all, so better be safe than sorry, he has really got me worried. We are off now so fingers crossed, it's not to serious.

Thanks for your concern Jackie,Chester isn't very well, but we don't think that he has swallowed anything. The vet seems to think that he has kennel cough, so Chester has some antibiotics, we seem to be living at the vets this week, I hope the tablets work quickly, he seems to be worse at the moment and has gone off his food a bit. TLC for Chester, and probably a fairly sleepless night for both of us, but hopefully he will soon be on the mend.

Sorry to hear that, try not to worry too much, it will take a while before he is back to his normal self. Even at that young age it does not usualy make the dog feel that unwell. Jackie H.
