Please tell me, am i mad? I've just decided to take my barmy wheaten terrier to agility, yet i am really looking forward to it. Picture it now, a little monster running round the hall barking her head of with me chasing after her!! :D But seriously, i think it will be brilliant cause it will get me used to showing dogs if i want to do junior handling when we get our next dog and my little papillon. Anyway been using the clicker with Rosie today and she is doing really well. She is now sitting and lying down on command and hopefully she will progress as quickly in the rest of her training. And lets hope she behaves when we take her to agility. :D

Youre not mad dolly, just very brave :D as Humphrey Appleby said in Yes Minister its a "courageous" decision. Itll be fun and if she gets too excited and does a lap of honour, the class leader will have seen it before and tell you how to get her back on track. Morse and I have just started it and he hasnt done too many Hi Ho Silvers, but other dogs have and its been sorted. We jsut walk the fences just now to get him used to jumping through the wings rather than dance around them, and he really loves it. Good luck. :)

i started taking a jrt to agility and i thought she was going to do the same, barking and chasing all the other dogs. but they did a bit of socialisation and then we werent allowed them of the leads until they knew all the equipment and the dogs. so it worked out really weel and im looking forward to doing it with my pup when shes old enough
Thanks you two, I cant wait to take her!!! :D
luv sarah xxxx
