I was looking through my old Dog World annual, and I saw a pic of a Bloodhound dog, the caption underneath said he came from a litter of 20!

Is this true? Does anyone know the details? How many pups survived? How was the poor bitch?

Its sickening really, my BH found it difficult enough whelping her litter of 12, 6 of which I am hand rearing because she struggles!

Not condemming just genuiney intrested, amazing stuff, I only hope the Bitch was ok,,,,,what a nightmare it must've been for the breeder!

its quite common. well not 20...but certainly around the 15 mark.  When did your bh whelp guest?
