I have a smooth collie bitch who is 2 and I am yet to find a brand of food that makes her stools "firm"!!She goes to the toillet several times a day and passes quite alot of very soft faeces. She has been to the vet for tests and is perfectly healthy, the vet said it is just a matter of experimenting with different dry brands to find one to suit her but I am having no luck.I have tried pedigree chum complete, iams and now supa and I am still having to hose the entire garden down each time she goes.Any food recommended that will make her firm? She never eats our scraps by the way so its nothing she is sneakily eating
Hi Guest, everyone has different opinions of different foods, but it really is just a case of trying different foods until you find something that agrees with her! But, I would suggest trying her on food that has higher quality ingredients, I feed naturediet (www.naturediet.co.uk), combined with Nutro (www.nutro.co.uk), although I am currently swapping my boys over to Burns (www.burns-pet-nutrition.co.uk) which they love! Naturediet is a complete moist food, but the dogs love a bit of crunch too, hence why I combine with the dry. Good luck finding something that works! :)
