hi please can anyone help me, i have gsd of which was mated 18 days ago, the last two days she has had bad diareah, and not herself,i fed her some rice and chicken to try and settle this, only this didnt work and this morning more diareah and a couple of piles of (snotty jelly) size of your palm, kind of had no colour, its just im not sure how she passed this im worried incase she is losing her puppies, the last couple of days ive noticed a sticky colourless discharge around her vulva, just wondered if anyone could express their opinion on this as this is my first litter. many advice would be gratefully recieved. thanks

your best course of action would be to get her to a vet and have her checked over. Some bitches have an upset stomach in the weeks following mating so it could be something as simple as that, but best be on the safe side :-)
why not join and you can let us know how she gets on, and ask more questions if you like :-)

Your bitch should be at a vet! Minor tummy upsets can happen through pregnancies but you have to establish if your bitch has some type of infection which is causing the "bad bad" problem. If necessary antibiotics which are safe for in whelp bitches can be given. I'm not keen on prescription meds for bitches in her condition but better safe than sorry - excess straining will not be doing her any good :-(
So long as discharge from vulva is clear and no smell that is normal - but still take her to the vet re bowel probs.

ps. also invest in a rectal thermometer - you'll need it later in preganancy and should be using it now to establish what her particular "normal" tep is.
