molly my 16 wk old pup has yellow scabs/crusts on rear end esp by the base of her tail and has knorred at her skin its become raw. she has been treated for fleas and i use a tooth comb on her every day. she eats pedigree chum. it has gradualy got worse over the last week she is biting and scratching herself all the time. i have had the odd one flea but most of the time she is clear. i do have 2 cats but they wear flea collars. she dose like to lie in the hedges in our garden but there are none that have flowers mainly conifers and grass. can anyone please help. my other question is why would her mother turn on her as she lives in the next garden and is increasingly growling at her through the fence. she as also done this with her other pups and isnt allowed to be with them anymore as we fear she might attack them.

many thanks
lyn

Have you not taken her to the vets?

I would get her checked out at the vets - it can be due to any number of reasons-
plant allergy, food allergy, flea sensitivity, contact sensitivity due to something in the home ( Shake 'n' vac or detergents etc). House dust mites or other insects and mites
Once they start to gnaw at their skin , it can become infected .
Although you can treat it you really need to get to the root cause and try to prevent it from happening
