i no boxers dont need a lot of grooming for shoing . but my boxer is grate fro triming his back legs eg but when i go to his whiskers he hates it ! he growles and pulls away . we have tried baiting him silent clipers sissors but nothiung workins anyt ideas ???
Take him to a groomer - yup you have to pay but they make such a lovely job of it why do it yourself. And they have experience of all kinds of dogs. I never try and groom copper, he actually behaves better for the groomer (who is very professional and has a total way with dogs - well worth the money).
I would recommend a little and often and also give treats during the process. So for the first few times, just take the grooming tools to his face without doing anything and give the best sort of treat that you have. Keep doing this over a few days until you get to the point where he knows that trimming equals getting really nice treats. I only have to say groom groom and I have a dog begging to get on the grooming table - for the treats of course but he knows that going through the process gets the treats.
