I bought a portable pet home at lka last year and have used it only about 6 times but have found that its starting to break. I have no idea who I bought it from and wondered if anyone knows if they carry a guarantee or who I can contact for a replacement.

Mine lasted two shows then my young male ripped the mesh front and got out to join me in the ring. I had paid £80 for it and was not impressed. I contacted the manufacturers who said that their guarantee was invalid as I had not been there to supervise him in the crate (I was only yards away in the ring and he was surrounded by my friends in the breed so had not been left alone in it ).  I have gone back to using the metal crates even though they are heavier at least I know that my dog will be afely enclosed.

I have had mine over 2 years, got a tiny one for carrying a single pup, and the medium size which takes either Am. cocker or Pug,  alos used for tkaing litters to vets for vaccinations.  they are great, and have had no problems at all.  Mine regularly gets jumped on by a friends whippet, and is not worse for the wear.  Which company did you buy them from, as Marlin who sold me mine, have always been very helpful.

bye

Got mine from Pet mate - think that they may be ok for smaller breeds but a bit flimsy for my large hairy and determined Belgian - I agree that they are very convenient to carry and put up but I know of other people whose dogs ripped through the mesh in the front.
