Can anyone please explain to me what the difference is between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the King Charles Spaniel. I was always told that the one with the longer name had a slightly longer nose but surely there is more to them than that. Are they similar in size, temperament etc.? I would really love one of these beautiful spaniels but would really like to know if there is a difference. Thanks

I think the cavalier king charles needs or will take a lot more exercise than the king charles, which is much smaller and I think can get some breathing problems due to its flat nose (similar to a pug's). The cavalier is also larger.
