Millie has had an upset stomach for the  past couple of days but seemed to perk up lots last night - had something to eat (rice and a bit of dry food), finally went out for a  wee after 21 hours, and went for a little walk round the block and seemed much better.

However she woke us up this morning at 8.30 with her wind - and managed to stink the whole house out.  I had to go out at 10.30 and she was letting rip approximately every 30 seconds with a real stench each time!

I have just got back home and she is still constantly passing wind - OH says she has been doing it ever since I left.  She is whining occasionally and obviously still has a bad belly and she is lying in the hall feeling very sorry for herself.

I have a list of 'dodgy' foods on my kitchen cupboard, kindly provided by tohme a while back and it says that lactose causes this, diarrhoea and aggressive flatulence but we are not aware of any milk she has had, other than licking the bowl out of some bio yoghurt which does say it contains milk.

But anyway, does anyone have any tips for helping to ease aggressive flatulence - as in short term not long term as she hardly ever has any wind normally (well not noticeable anyway) but is really suffering at the moment.

Thanks.

Hmm it may be worth chatting to your vet about this, her digestion may not be tip top but perhaps she did just eat something and will be back to normal soonest :)

In the meantime, your vet can supply you with probiotics which are the good bacteria (as in the Yakult ad). Dogs need it too! It may well help get the system back into balance again.

Best wishes
