Was it expensive to have a scan done ?? As i took my Bonnie to vets and she also was palpated and said she thinks she can feel something but think is not the answer I wanted really.

When is the best time to get a scan done , or is it best to just play the waiting game and find out ???

I had my girl scanned at 28 days and we saw movement, my vet called them 'little fishes' too small to pick up heart beats though at 28 days!  She was scanned a week later and we saw heart beats!  So maybe you were just a little too early!

I only had a scan done once many years ago, and was told that there was definatly 3 maybe more, it turned out that there was 1. Now I just wait and see it do's add to the exitement of a litter

My girl was scanned, saw 7+ pups on a 5 week scan, the vet thinks 2 days later the litter died, if I had waited until the day she was due she was have ended up with a pyo due to the litter being absorbed aborted and we could have lost our girl.  So I prefer to have them scanned a couple of times during pregnancy.  There was no obvious signs the litter had died and she was put on anti-biotics before things turned nasty.

Admittedly this is rare, but I prefer to be safe than sorry.
