is it safe for dogs to go in swimming pools???
what happens if they drink the water with chlorine in it??

Willis drinks the water in our pool occasionally and it doesn't seem to hurt - however, he won't go in and I think thats a blessing. I think they are dangerous for dogs who may get tired before the owner realises and there's no way out. I would also say the chlorine won't do much for his coat - hence we don't use the pool that often - it dries out our hair!

chlione isnt harmful to human so it the same with dogs, the only thing i would do is to shower the dog off after each swim and some time shampoo/condition the coat, but watch the dog at all time while he in the pool and not to over do the exciers or play 1/2 hour at the most.it like having a child in the pool watching them all the time.

Every warm day my dog sits on the second step into the pool and spends most of the day just sat there.  He refuses to go any further in and just seems to enjoy getting his bottom half cool.

It does tend to put lots of people off swimming in there:)

Our dogs swim in our pool, with chlorine, hasn't done them any harm and their coats are fine.
