Has anybody received an e-mail from Paypal asking them to click on the link and fill out their registration details again due to upgraded server??

I'm a bit worried about doing this again as I'm not sure if it's genuine?

To Archer, yes and yes

Think I'll ignore the e-mail, if my paypal account doesn't work next time I try to use it then I know why.

Thanks

Log on to the pay pal site and it will tell you if you need to upgrade. If you reached your limit this could be why you got this email. I know when i first joined it reccomended that i upgrade to the enhanced service basically no limits to worry about all that was needed was two small payments to pay pal that were refunded next time i used the service.

I've logged in no problems.  It's nothing to do with limit, this is what it said:-

Dear paypal user, We would like to inform you that we are upgrading our server to install a better protection software. So please click here and fill in the registration form again to renew your account.

Paypal Administration

I've had this account for a couple of years now, I don't use it that often, I did try clicking on the link but it came up page not available, so hopefully if it was a scam they have been found out!

sharon that email is a scam forward it to abuse@paypal.com (i think thats the right addy) Then they can warn other users about it.

PayPal shouldn't ask you to do anything that involves personal information in an email, usually if they want to do something it appears when you login - Also check that i you ever do click on one of these links that it definitely is paypal.com in the address bar and that the padlock is at the bottom right of IE

Ok, have sent them an e-mail.  I also used my paypal account last night, no problems and no mention of updating my account.

Thanks for all your help
