My dog gets hot skin and has recently had a very bad skin infection. A friend suggested putting Rock Sulphur into her water bowl , which I have done but was wondering whether I should put a fresh piece in every so often or do I wait till the piece im using dissolves? That is , if it does dissolve! I havent used this before so any advice / ideas would be really appreciated!

Thanks  , Kate  -  and Rosie!!!

Hi Katie.
I keep a piece in the water bowl, and replace it every few weeks.  Couldn't find anything that said how often to change it, just "change as nec"

I bought some Rock Sulphur from Pets at Home last year. It said on the canister to put a piece the size of a walnut in the dogs water bowl and replace it every few days.  Don't know how you can cut it to that size though as it's rock hard, and it doesn't dissolve at all.

I did use rock sulphur but use cooling tablets from either Sherleys or Johnsons that seems to work.
