Does anyone know if the Cocker Spaniel Breed Council is undertaking any recent research (I know they assisted in the research undertaken  in the early 90s at Cambridge University) into rage syndrome?

No they are not.The Cocker Breed Council Temperament Committee are now channelling their efforts into providing advice & information on temperament issues (not confined to Rage) eg their new website at http://www.cockerspanieltac.co.uk/

Jane, do you know why they are not taking this issue seriously enough to research it again?  I have read the site that you refered to and it appears to me they try to make light of 'rage syndrome' refering to it as 'rare'.  Yet, the pedigrees of dogs that have suffered from this condition, that I have seen, have the same dogs appearing in the ancestory. Surely this must cause concern for the breed in general.
