I just wanted to know what other CD'ers thought was the best thing about their dog? For me it is when I get home from work and Lacey runs down the street to meet me and even if I've had a bad day at work, whcih is becoming more and more regular, she cheers me up by just looking at her and knowing that she's thinking 'Yeah Daddy's home so now we can play for a bit before bedtime'

Suppose if I am honest it is the fact that I am important to them, know that they would settle with someone else if they had to, but at the moment I am the centre of their universe and yes, they are my reason for getting out of bed........................................................more often than not at 6 in the morning, dam dogs who'd have em.

There are millions of things I love about my dogs. I have two Siberian huskies, so naturally, they give me lots to talk about.
One of the things I love about my dogs is plain and simple. They are two of the most beautiful dogs I have ever seen in my life. No, I'm not just saying that because they are my dogs, but in all honesty. Huskies are truely beautiful as a breed. I am just very lucky and have two of the most beautiful ones.
The next thing I love is about Kieron. She is extremely vocal. She stares you in the eye with her icy blue eyes and pins her ears down, followed by a silly howl/bark. It really sounds as if she is saying, "Moma!" Also, when she stretches with her rear end in the air, her ears tilt to the side in a way and she always says something like, "Baaaarrrooooooooooo..." That is followed by a couple of moans and groans. Then, she usually decide to lay back down so she turns in circles until she finds the right spot. Then she'll start it all over again the next time she stands up to greet someone.
Something I love about Houdini... It has to be the way he "speaks" for a treat. I make him sit down while I hold the treat by my face. His tail just wags and wags. Then I give him the signal to "say please" and out comes the cutest, sharpest, and loudest bark he can muster. He is still a puppy, so his voice is still very high pitched. I usually give him the treat after that. If he acts like he wants to do more, I just keep talking to him all happy like saying, "Watcha say, Houdini? How's it go? Say please!" That is followed by a bark!
With both of them, I love hearing them tell me about their day. When I come home, they are alway up on the hill where they stay. I bring them inside and sit down in the living room and ask them to tell me what they did that day. They both sit down next to each other and start barking, howling, yapping, anything. After any break in a bark, I ask, "Really?? Is that how it went?" Kieron will usually answer with a short bark as if to say, "Yep, that's how our day was."
I've never met a dog so vocal as Kieron and Houdini. Its a breed characteristic, lots of "talking". I love it!

Best thing about Morse is his happy socialble nature. People feel good just watching him trot about. When we play with him his eyes light up and bug out of his head as if hes never seen such a cool thing in his life as a tennis ball :) And I love watching him run and bounce through long grass like Tigger, leaping at butterflies with his long legs all dangling, and sleeping on the couch in the pm with his head hanging upside down.. :)

Best thing about Sal;
She is sooo friendly to people and animals makes me proud when people say "didn't expect that of a Staff"
She has a wierd way of "talking" to you that means her ball/kong whatever is stuck somewhere.
When we visit hospice by us, as she's a PAT dog the way peoples faces light up when we go in
She's always always pleased to see me. :)
The way she bounces up and down like "tigger" in the long grass to keep and eye on me, while on walks.
The simple fact she is and always will be my "Sal"
The best things about Tess;
She is always always pleased to see me. :)
She is a puppy - and soon she'll be like her "big" sister.
That everything she learns you can almost see her storing away, for future reference.
The simple fact that she'll always be my Tess. :)

I love Molly because she smiles
Thomas because he is dopey
Tigger because she is the most beautiful dog in the world
And Purdy because she gave me all the above
personally the best thing about my boys is their unconditional love
I love my 2 dogs unconditional love, even when I tell them off they forgive me!
I also like the fact that people love them when I am out walking. Being Miniature Schnauzers they love everyone and everything! I have made some good friends thanks to my dogs.
I dislike them taking over the bed at night - some nights I can not turn around and in the summer I am boling. Do I regret it ? NO!!
The way Millie has to lay on my belly at bedtime - she actually sleeps on her own bed, but insists on getting up on our bed first, saying goodnight to 'daddy', then climbing over to plonk herself on my belly, facing me, gazing into my eyes for ten minutes until she jumps off to sleep on her own bed. Every night without fail.
Its bearable now, she's 8.9kg but I hope she doesn't grow much more, or else grows out of this habit soon! But its soooooooooo sweet when she does it, my heart melts, even though the lights off, OH is snoring and I'm stuck sitting upright in bed unable to get fully under the covers because this lump is sat on my stomach!
Jazz has so many qualities that I love
The greeting you get when you come home (a dance on the laminate flooring, with teddy of course :D ) :)
When he has his posh ears
When he lets me know to bring the washing in :D (first sound of rain and hes at the back door barking to go out to play)
His cuddles when your poorly
The way he says please for a treat
I could go on forever
I quite simply LOVE Jazz to bits :D
Michelle :)

Best thing about Copper? Hmmm, he warms up my bed for me and when I get there he moves with no complaints. He's warmer than a hot water bottle and he licks up my tears when I'm unhappy. Awww, and he's just very loveable. But apart from that he can be a pain up the jacksy and rules (tries to rule) the roost :D Wouldn't be without him though.

I love the..
Weve missed you so much mum,but what have you brought us?
When i have been out,and the unconditional love 24/7.
I love everything about my wheaten Rosie but i love how daft she is like today no matter how many times she see herself in the mirror she will insist and growling at her reflection and when she wants to play she will stick her bum in the air and her front half on the floor and bark throwing her head from side to side she really is daft like how its took 7 years to teach her how to sit. I could go on for ages saying how she brightens my day with her silly antics even when she did jump in the duck pond!! :)

the best thing about my dogs has got to be when they are asleep :)
I love to see my GSD take one of her gillies (cuddly gorillas and she has about 15) in her mouth like a dummy and fall asleep with it, with her front legs wrapped around it. My friends thought I was bonkers to buy one of those "nasty dogs". The only thing she is capable of is licking some-one to death.
