Hello,  I am in the process of having  husky imported into the country in a few  weeks and I am interested in getting into to showing could anyone help me? I live in Hadleigh nr Ipswich in Suffolk. I am by no means anyywhere like a proffessional but the first thing you need to do is to attend ringcraft with your dog. This will help you learn how to handle him in the ring AND get him used to the way things are done here in the UK. Also, are you a member of the Siberian Husky Club? Their website appears to be down at the moment, but contact details are on that page :)

Think you need to contact the KC for Authority to Compete number or to register the dog with the KC.

If he's coming to live over here you don't need an ATC number, but you will need to register him over here and have all of the correct paperwork from the country of origin.  I am also getting a new import next week who is a champion in Spain, but I'm sooo nervous as I've only got one week to go before he arrives here in England :d

EDITIDE TO SAY  you need a five generation certified export pedigree from the FCI to send to the KC then the registration process is easy!.

Yes he did arrive safely thank you.  He's absolutely wonderful.  Can't believe how a dog who hasn't lived in a house for his 6 years can settle so easily.

He's been swimming on a long lead a few times now with me.  I took him to the water park on Saturday with some of my friends who have Spanish and after me having a number of heart attacks I eventually let him off the lead and he didn't leave my side.  He's absolutely wonderful. 

Can't believe that I've had him for 2 weeks exactly today I feel as though he's been with me forever.
