My friends bait their dogs with carrots.  I find it totally bizzare that a dog will get excited by a carrot I just wondered if anyone else had any weird and wonderfuls they use for bate?

My dogs love carrots but their absoloute fav is apples. They would do anything for a piece of apple and my kids have to eat their apples well away from the dogs or else they get mugged for them :D

Have baited in the ring with both carrots and oranges, the amusing thing is that in our breed it is common to donate any bate left to any hound that asks, you should see the expresion on the faces of those who are not fruit eaters. Had one old boy who would do anything for a banana skin, ekkk!

Don't know why but every one of my SWD's goes absolutely crazy over potato peelings !!  Even the 10 week old pup loves it.  I know you're not supposed to give it to them but they adore it and it's not done any of them any harm :d

My mums old mongrel used love potato peelings.  I have offered them to my lot but they just walk off in disgust!

why are potato peelings not good for them ?

Someone at our ringcraft used Pasta.....YUCk..all spuidgy n slimy....but bait is anything that keeps your dogs intrest......
