Topic Dog Boards / General / Taking self medication too far?

Our dogs have always nibbled on the odd herbs/grasses which grow along the various routes that we walk them.

I've noticed that Vinnie (whom I'm walking seperately at the moment) will habitually go for some herbs for a week or so, - a bit of thyme as we pass my herb patch, a quick nibble of feverfew up the lane, some grasses here - other grasses there - and then change and go for others - at present, there is some wild fennel and sorrel that she is nibbling on.

However, I'm beginning to wonder if my "teenager" aussie is going to develop a drug habit.....we have some opium poppies in the garden (big, beautiful flowers, with the big pepperpot seedheads) - and every day, she is trying to bite off a seed head to take inside with her!

Should I be worried - check out the Priory Drug Rehab place??? :D

If I were you Margot I'd talk to ChloeH she has Willis who is a sex crazed-valium popping dog. The two of you should get on fine ;)
