I have just changed all my pillows and bought pillow covers as last week on our local news a report said that if you have a pillow over 5 years old a third of its weight is dust mites. Did anyone else hear this?

If you think about all the dead skin you slough off every day in bed not to mention dust etc your bed is full of debris :D
I change my pillows annually.
No, but I've recently been to see an allergy specialist and had my allergy
confirmed - House Dust mite.
Apparently in pet households this can be increased due to the mites also feeding off the skin scales
of the pets and the humans...
He said that laminate/wood flooring can help those that suffer with mite allergy.
But didn't advocate any of the bedding covers or sprays - none had had any significant testing to prove
that they really work. Why waste lots of your money as they are expensive to purchase.
However he did say that having an efficient hoover with the relevant filters was a must and also to get someone
else to empty it if you are allergic.

Can you let me know what Indorex is - both Molly and I have an allergy to house mites - is it a spray?
Thanks Gina :)
